NHL 11 EAUHL Playoffs set to begin soon I wanted give you a bit of information on how Playoffs work in the UHL.
The regular season will end on the last day of the month. This signals the start of both the Playoffs as well as the next Regular season. When you enter HUT during Playoff time you will be greeted with a pop-up informing you that EAUHL Playoffs are underway. There is also an added HUT menu item called EAUHL Playoffs. Selecting this Playoff menu item will bring you straight to where the Playoff tournaments are located (you can also navigate to the Playoff tournament tab by selecting Tournaments).
Unlike EASHL, not every Ultimate Team will qualify for a spot in the EAUHL Playoff tournaments, so be sure you are high on the leaderboards! If you have qualified, you will unlock one of the 3 EAUHL Playoff tiers, Amateur, Pro and Elite. Only one of the three tournaments will be unlocked and available if you have qualified.
Playoff tournaments work very similar to a regular online tournaments. You must win 4 games in a row in order to be Tournament Champion. Lose a Playoff game in any round, and you are eliminated. You will know that you are in an EAUHL Playoff game because there will be a special ice texture indicating which tier of Playoffs you are in. In addition to a hefty Tournament Bonus, winning a Playoff tournament will get you special banner raising cut scene and Tournament champions ice surface for all of your Home games in the next season. This way anyone you play will be aware they are up against a former Champ.
Didn’t qualify for this seasons UHL Playoffs? Don’t worry, you can start right away on trying to qualify for next season.
