2. Seth Jones—D—USA NTDP 18 6’03/200 Big, slick skater, great under pressure, great shot from point, excellent in all three zones, super smart, this guy has that Chris Pronger type talent and size.

3. Sean Monahan—F—Ottawa 6’02/190 Excellent two way player, excellent puck handler, great playmaker, excellent shooter, strong, when I see this guy I think Jonathan Towes.

4. Hunter Shinkaruk—F—Med Hat 5’10/165 Amazing hands and puck handling, amazing goal scorer, exciting, smart, does things others can’t, he has a lot of finesse with the puck and when shooting, ala Patrick Kane.

5. Alexander Barkov—F—Tappara SML 6’02/205 Excellent strength, great puck skills, physical, strong in front, creates around net, gritty, I see this guy I think he could be another Olli Jokinen but has talent to be better, up to him.

6. Ryan Pulock—D—Brandon 6’01/201 So smart of a defender, he always makes the right play, he has a big shot from the point, excellent passing ability, not flashy but makes those plays on the ice that make you say wow, also great in his own end, he is a pin point passer and his head is never looking down at the puck it is always moving, his ability to read plays is just amazing.

7. Pavel Buchnevich—F—Cherepovets 6’00/157 I think this guy will be a big riser next year, he is smart, explosive on the ice, great puck handling ability, exciting to watch, excellent flashy plays and shooting ability but is a good passer and playmaker too, he has the ability to bring fans out of their seats.

8. Curtis Lazar—F—Edmonton 6’00/189 Physical, gritty, excellent shooter, good passer, not flashy, strong, two way, leader material, he moves well with and without the puck, able to use his strength in front of the net and has some of the softest hands in front but his shot from in close in money, plus his hockey sense is top notch he just always seems to make the right play and keep it simple at the same time.

9. Zachary Fucale—G— Halifax 6’00/166 Great poise, amazing ability to read the play, great reaction, very positional, controls rebounds he is amazing in nets, raises game in the big games, looks like a young

10. Robert Hägg—D—Modo J20 6’02/192 This guys game reminds me a bit of a Lidstrom style of game, excellent skater, very smart, has great poise with the puck, excellent passer on the rush, excellent at rushing the puck and creating offense from the point, but he is also great in his own end as well.

11. Rasmus Ristolainen—D—TPS SML 6’03/201 Very smart defender, understands the game like not too many do, has great size and uses it, excellent defensive player, very smooth puck skills and ability to rush the puck out, can run offense from the point, hold down the fort at home, this guy has to improve consistency and he will be amazing.

12. Jonathan Drouin—F—Halifax 5’09/173 Amazing playmaker, great vision, good shooter, exciting hands, good skater, gritty, amazing IQ, this guy controls the play with the puck and adds a bit of grit at the same time, he is maybe the most creative playmaker in this draft.

13. Valery Nichushkin—F—Belie MHL 6’03/176 Excellent skater, uses size, great passer and shooter, needs to improve IQ, game breaking talent, he is good on the rush with the puck, he has that wow factor for a big guy.

16. Kerby Rychel—Windsor 6’00/185 This guy is strong, powerful, goes to the net, works hard on the boards, great goal scoring ability but if he is unable to get a shot off he has good vision for passing too, he uses size, strength and skill and will be a guy who can offer a Wendell Clark type of game.

17. Josh Morrissey—D—Prince Albert 6’00/184 Excellent open ice hitter, great two way ability, smart, good in own zone, excellent in offensive, controls the play with his puck moving and vision, runs a PP with the best of them, takes chances at times but has good defensive ability as well.

18. Adam Erne—F—Quebec 6’00/205 Strong, excellent speed, great shooter, exciting hands, goes to the net, very gritty, takes body, Erne has good hockey sense as well, he has everything to be a premier power forward who plays with finesse.

19. Elias Lindholm—F—Brynas J20 6’00/183 I like his all around game, he is strong, gritty, can throw a good hit but does not go out of his way to do so, he is a skilled playmaker with excellent vision, a very good puck handler and can go one on one, he has a strong two way as well.

20. Artturi Lehkonen—F—TPS A-SML 5’10/150 A fast skater with excellent work ethic and a great two way game, he is a smooth puck handler, makes good plays on the ice, has an excellent shot and scoring ability, he is a great player in the making.

21. Anthony Duclair—F—Quebec 5’11/159 Amazing speed and agility, exciting hands, good passing and shooting, does too much by himself, he also has to improve his strength as he is skinny and weak on the puck, his speed works for him now but higher levels of hockey he will have to be stronger..

22. Nikita Zadorov—D—Red Army MHL 6’04/205 This guy might be one of the best defenders from Russia in a bit, excellent size, he is very smooth and fast skater, very smart with positional play and excellent reads on plays and seeing them unfold, excellent passer out of the zone and off the rush, controls the play from the point, has a good low shot, great in all three zones.

23. Madison Bowey—D—Kelowna 6’00/180 Excellent puck handler, great on the rush, makes pin point passes, controls the play, good shot from the point, smart player, looks good in own end too.

24. Eric Comrie—Goalie—Tri-City 6’00/175 I like this guy, he has good position in nets, follows the play well, has good agility, I find his 5-hole a bit weak but easy to work on, he reminds me of Dan Blackburn back in the day, before injuries.

25. Andre Burakovsky—F—Malmo J20 6’01/176 Smart player and strong as well, excellent puck protection, very good at coming down the wing and letting go a big shot or taking the puck and going one on one as well so defense has a hard time gauging how to take him, his strength, hands and excellent shooting make him a good player.

26. Sergie Tolchinsky—F--Red Army MHL 5’07/150 Great speed, excellent agility, he is magic with the puck at high speed, very exciting to watch, he is a creative goal scorer and smart with shooting, when I saw him he needs to pass a bit more but skill wise he is a game breaker in the offensive zone, but size, defensive commitment are two things he has to work on.

27. Bo Horvat—F—London 6’00/198 Good skater, strong, gritty, hard worker, good shooter, creates with hard work, two way player, he is just so determined on the ice and raises his game in bigger games, around the net he is great.

28. Eric Roy—D –Brandon Wheat 6’03/190 Was very good off the rush with the puck, excellent passing and good shot from the point, takes chances in the offensive zone, I saw a development in his defensive game this year and he is getting better for sure in that area.

29. Morgan Klimchuk—F—Regina 5'11/180 Fast skater who uses his speed along the boards, he is a good shooter off the rush and a capable passer, he is a good offensive player who is not a flashy style player but he seems to always know how to get the puck to the net or open up space for himself.

30. Tyler Motte—F—NTDP U17 5’10/165 Great offensive player, he is great on the rush with the puck, excellent passing skills, very creative puck handler and the ability to be a top notch scorer as well, he needs some work in his own end but he is exciting and skilled with the puck.

31. Anthony Mantha—F—Val-d’Or 6’03/178 Excellent skater with acceleration and speed, he is strong and goes to the next, excellent hands around the goal and creates opportunity with his good puck skills and good hockey sense to get open with or without the puck, a great young power forward in the making.

32. Nick Sørensen—F—Quebec 6’01/168 Good skater, excellent hands, excellent vision, good goal scorer, he is an exciting player to watch, needs to get stronger though, very skinny, he could very well be a mid 1st round pick if he has a healthy season, his skill level is high and exciting.

33. Alex Forsberg—F—Prince George 5’10/170 Amazing hands, great playmaking and passing, controls the play and exciting to watch, very smart, average size and bellow average skating by the makes up for size with gritty play and willingness to play in traffic.

34. Connor Rankin—F—Tri City 6’00/185 Excellent playmaker and good passer, a sufficient shooter as well, Rankin is not flashy but has good ability in the offensive end, plays both ends of the ice and willing to take the body.

35. Martin Reway-F-Gatineau 5’09/165 Great hands with the puck, amazing goal scoring ability, very smart moving into open ice, exciting player who made me take notice with his ability to go one on one with anyone, if he has a good year in the QMJHL he could be a riser for sure.

36. Gustav Possler—F—Modo 5’11/172 An exciting forward who skates well, has great puck handling, excellent passing and vision, he has good shooting ability and knows how to create every time he is on the ice, he needs to work on putting up with the physical play but his skills are top notch.

37. Ville Husso—Goalie—HIFK U20 6’02/183 One of the best goalies in the draft, great size, excellent positioning, very head strong in nets, good speed and movement in his crease, he has the potential to be a number one goalie in the NHL.

38. Matt Murphy—D—Val-d’Or 6’01/185 Very smart, excellent out let passing, good in own end, controls play from blue line, good skater, great ability to rush the puck out of zone, he also adds good open ice hitting, this guy pretty much does it all on the ice and is very effective as a good two way defender.

39. Will Butcher—D—NTDP U17 5’11/175 He is a great offensive d-man who can run a power play with the best of them, a good skater and excellent hands on the rush, he has a good shot from the point and excellent passing to create from the point.

40. Markus Soberg—F—Frolunda J20 6’00/176 Excellent speed and agility, very good shooting and passing game as well, he displays a strong two way game but I found he has to really work on his puck handling ability, very choppy stick handler with world class skills.

41. Ryan Kujawinski—F—Kingston 6’02/195 Excellent skater with great speed, I love his use of his shot off the rush to create rebounds or burry it, he is able to control the play with his playmaking as well and he has the size to be a force on the ice as well, so much talent, I would not be shocked to see this guy rise to the 1st round.

42. Jacob de la Rose—F—Leksand J20 6’02/174 Good size, plays a powerful game, he will have to get stronger to keep his game up but he has good strength now, he is strong on his skates, goes to the net, has good ability in the offensive zone and is good in the defensive end too, he has good character and will be highly sought after for his ability in all three zones.

43. Jeremy Gregoire—F—Chicoutimi 6’00/191 Great IQ, two way player, amazing leadership, good shooter, great hands, good playmaker, skating needs work as he has a smooth stride but just skates like he is dragging a piano on his back, but smart, great shooter and just everything you could ask for, reminds people of Maxim Talbot.

44. Jordan Subban—D—Belleville 5’09/170 Very fast skater, great puck rusher, takes chances, big one timer, excellent offense, this guy plays just like his brother, his only down fall is he is undersized but skill wise no defender in this draft creates like he does off the rush.

45. Taylor Cammarata—F—Waterloo 5’06/145 Super talented with skill to be a top 5 pick but 5’6 a team will have to really stretch…amazing IQ, great shooting, excellent playmaking, ability to take over the game, but has to add more strength if he is going to be small.

46. JT Compher—F—NTDP U17 6’00/160 He will have to put some weight on to keep playing his style of game but he is excellent, very gritty, gives 100% every shift, always fighting for the puck, works the puck out well and is able to send a nice pass from a busy area, he is a good skater as well and uses his strength and speed to open areas up for him.

47. Shea Theodore—D—Seattle 6’00/170 This guy is very gifted offensively, he is great on the rush, excellent puck handler on the rush, very good passing from the point and off the rush, he uses shots well from the point, he has some work to do in his own zone but his raw talent and ability is through the roof.

48. Spencer Martin—G—Mississauga 6’02/186 Excellent size and what I like is how calm and well positioned in the crease he is, he has a great head for the game and makes things look simple, he is very athletic but keeps things simple, controls the rebounds, understands the plays and knows how to always be square to the play.

49. Hudson Fasching—F—NTDP U17 6’03/190 A good skater, very strong body and is starting to develop his physical game and be a gritty hard working player in front of the net and boards, he has great hands with the puck on the rush and in traffic, likes to shoot the puck and has good hockey sense as well, if his accuracy on his shots improves more he could be a big riser.

52. Jason Dickinson—Guelph 6’01/165 Excellent poise and mature beyond his years on the ice, he is always so calm and in control of the situation he is in at all times, he has solid offensive skills, very good defensive work and is great at getting the puck into scoring opportunities with his great puck protection.

53. Nikolas Brouillard—D—Drummond 5/10/147 Great defender on the rush, he becomes the 4th forward at times, excellent skater who displays great puck handling ability, excellent vision and passing on the rush and the ability to control the play, he is great on the power play and running the point, he needs to get a lot stronger and pick his chances a bit better but his skill level and talent are very very high.

54. Stephen Nosad—F—Peterborough 5’11/173 I love this guys physical ability, willingness to drop the gloves, hard work, he is a good skater too and a good player in the offensive zone, he will do anything to win and has good skills, this guy is the type of players teams drool for.

55. Ryan Hartman—F—Plymouth 5’10/182 I love this guys physical game and hard work on the ice despite his average size, he plays with passion, excellent hockey sense, just understands the game so well, keeps things simple, makes the safe play but is a great playmaker, he can pot the puck as well but all around this guy can rise in the draft and is going to be one of those all around great players that does everything to win.

56. Dominic Graham—G—Drummondville 6’00/153 Very good positioning in nets, very good read on plays, reacts well to plays, very good vision through traffic areas, controlling rebounds has improved and is getting good at it, raises game in the big games, franchise goalie in the making.

57. Stephen Harper—F—Erie 6’01/195 A power forward, I love this guy in front, he is so strong at holding position, great at tracking rebounds and loose pucks, excellent hands in close to the net and determination to explode on the puck and bang it in, he is a fast skater as well and with added strength for next year he will be more effective.

58. Emile Poirier—F—Gatineau 6’01/175 Excellent puck handling ability, adjusted well to Major Junior last year, excellent vision and playmaking ability, uses his size, excellent offensive instincts, needs to improve consistency but has high end offensive skill.

59. Dominik Kubalik—F—HC Plzen U20 6’00/176 A very good goal scorer with slick hands and good accurate shooting, he needs some seasoning in North America style of play but his ability to create scoring chances and riffle his shot home are great.

60. Steve Santini—D—NTDP U17 6’03/205 Big and talented, he reminds me of Adam Foote, physical, smart, good positional play, excellent out let passer, sticks simple play

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
61. Jusso Ikonen—F—Espoo Blues pro 5’07/170 Excellent work ethic and determination on the ice, plays a lot bigger than his height, he will never give up and the type of player that never says never, he is an excellent skater, very talented playmaker and pin point passer, has great hands with the puck, if this guy was 5’10 he would be a 1st round talent.

62. Alexandre Belanger—Goalie—Magog 5’11/158 Excellent positional play, also very agile and has great speed in net, he has good control of rebound and could be a riser in the draft after having a full year in the QMJHL

63. Anton Cederholm—D—Rogel J20 6’02/203 Big and a good skater, he is a simple dman who is very smart, makes the right play all the time and has great positioning, he is using his size well and is a crisp passer out of his zone, his offensive upside is limited but the guy is big and skilled in own zone.

64. Gabe Guertler—F—Fargo 5’09/170 Very skilled player, he is a very good with the puck and is exciting to watch, he is great moving into open ice and getting the puck into high scoring areas, what I like about this guy is his physical and gritty play for his size, he never gives up on the ice and gives 100%, he is a skilled stick handler and shooter.

65. Anthony Louis—F—USA NTDP U17 5’06/000 Small player but dynamic offensive ability, he is a great goal scorer who knows how to position himself and how to get past the defense to pot the puck, he is exciting to watch because of his great offensive ability, he is a bit of a wild card with his size, but his amazing hands with the puck and great shooting make him dynamic.

66. Grigory Dikushin—F—Green Bay 5’07/160 Intense player, goes to the net and plays hard, he has decent speed, good hands with the puck, a decent shot, last year was up and down for him in the USHL but I think with a year of NA hockey under his belt he will come back next year ready to jump on the scene and put up big numbers in the offensive end.

67. Philippe Cadorette—G—Baie Comeau 5’10/167 On the smaller side for a goalie but has excellent reflexes, good vision in the crease, makes the big saves, has good position in nets, has to work on rebounds but is exciting to watch and has all the aspects of an excellent goalie.

68. Victor Öhman—F—Modo J18 5’09/161 An amazing offensive player, excellent speed and agility, great puck handling, excellent playmaking and good shooting, I have him falling because he is not always committed to putting up with the body and seems to play scared a bit, needs to improve other end of his game.

69. Tobias Liljendahl—F—Djurgarden J18 6’02/198 Strong skater, excellent physical tools, he takes the body, is gritty along the boards, does the dirty work, has some decent offensive skills to go along with his physical play as well, he goes to the net, he has good shooting, sticks to simple but effective plays, his skating is not up to par with the rest of his game but he is good no matter.

70. Jesse Lees—D—Kelowna 5’11/175 Good skater, excellent handle of the puck on the rush, very good playmaker and passer on the rush, starting to do well in own zone, he is a puck rushing dman who can do some exciting things, he could easily be a 2nd rounder in this draft.

71. Nick Petan—F—Portland 5’09/153 Very talented offensive player, great stick handling ability, excellent passing, ability to score as well, exciting to watch, needs to get stronger and get grittier.

72. Philippe Desrosiers—G—Rimouski 6’00/177 Reminds me a bit of a Marc-Andre Fleury, has bad rebound control, but amazing agility and reflexes to go with great speed in net, this guy has chance to really rise up the charts, I want to see him play a full year to see if he lack of rebound control and ability to make highlight reel saves carries over to the QMJHL consistently.

73. Oliver Cooper—F—Saint John 6’02/191 Big player, strong, good along the boards, excellent hands around the net, does a lot of his creating around the net, he has big upside and could rise in the draft.

74. Andreas Johnson—F—Frolunda J20 5’09/159 Excellent skating, explosive hands with the puck and good goal scoring ability, he needs to improve playing in traffic and improve his strength, he is a bit of a parimiter player who has high skill level, if he improves his strength and ability to go into the boards and net he will rise up the charts.

75. Samuel Morin—D—Rimouski 6’05/184 Excellent size, very smooth skater with decent speed, smart in own end, good puck handler, makes excellent passes out of zone and from point, has a lot of offensive upside.

76. Yan-Pavel Laplante—F—PEI 6’00/191 A good skater, creates a lot of offense with his passing game and hard work, he just seems to do everything right, he plays both ends of the ice and is a very skilled player, he is smart and does what ever is asked of him.

77. Darnell Nurse—D—SSM 6’04/180 Smooth skater, excellent hands with the puck, able to rush or pass the puck up the ice, seems to be applying himself a bit more now but still has lapses of disappearing from the game, he has all the tools to be a star, but lacks physical play but is improving on that and also leaves you wanting a lot more from him and he is starting to improve on that.

78. Hunter Garlent—F—Guelph 5’08/159 Super hard worker who plays bigger than his size states, he is a skilled skater with speed and agility, his hard work allows him to power his way to the net or fight along the boards, he has good passing ability and his hard work pays off picking up loose pucks as well, his passion, skill and work ethic will carry him a long way.

79. Brandon Shea—F—Moncton 6’02/200 Never got a fair chance in Moncton, very strong, excellent around the net,has a killer shot deadly accuracy and soft hands around the goal, takes the body but is sometimes lazy on the ice, so much talent to be a prime time PF.

80. Jan Kostalek—D--??? ?’??/??? An excellent two way defender, he is not a flashy player but is smart in his own zone, has crisp passing with the puck, sticks to the simple play and is good working the puck around on the point and taking his open shots.

81. Evan Allen—F—NTDP U17 5’11/184 An amazing shooter who likes using his big booming shot, he is strong and goes to the net hard looking for rebounds, he has great ability to get into open ice and let go his riffle of a shot, this guy will score lots of goals and with his hockey sense there is no reason he could not keep that pace up.

82. Scott Savage—D—NTDP U17 6’00/160 An amazing skater who excels at getting the puck out of the zone and making crisp passes out of the zone or on the rush, he is good in his own zone with smart positional play, and he uses his skating to get the puck out of the zone, he has a lot of raw ability in the offensive zone and has not recognized his potential yet and when he puts on size and strength he will be a guy who could rise big time or have a high long term upside.

83. Adam Zboril—F—HC Kometa Brno 20 5’07/168 Excellent skating speed and good agility, he is very flashy and a great puck handler, does too much with the puck though I found and has no commitment on defense, he is also very weak and plays a bit of a perimeter game, he has a lot of talent to work with though.

84. Greg Chase—F—Calgary 0’00/000 Hard worker, strong and fast skater, works both ends of the ice, good at fore checking, he shoots low and hard and causes rebounds and has solid passing skills.

85. Marko Dano—F—HK Dukla Trencin 5’11/183 An amazing puck handler who is able to go one on one with just about anyone and come out on top, his hands open up space for him where in open area he has a very hard shot that is accurate, his down fall is his best asset though his puck handling, he relies on it a bit too much and ends up turning the puck over.

86. Matt Needham—Kamloops 5’09/179 A good player who has good speed, excellent hands and is very capable all around in the offensive end, I find though he does not wow me on the ice and that he is

87. Ayrton Nikkel—D—Brandon 6’01/185 Not flashy and if you are not looking for him on the ice you will not notice him, he is very smart, has great positional play and takes the body when he has too, has excellent outlet passing ability too, he is sometimes too safe on the ice you would like to see him take a chance sometimes.

88. Dillon Heathering—D—Swift Current 6’02/170 This guy is going to be a good defender, he is smart, poised beyond his years, great decision making, excellent hockey sense, not flashy but has good passing ability, takes his shots from the point, has good play in his own zone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
89. Keegan Kanzig—D—Victoria 6’05/229 He is very big and very very strong, excellent in his own end, takes the body, uses his size, has great leadership qualities, I think he has no offensive upside though.

90. Johnathon Merkley—F—Lethbridge 5’11/187 Has good speed and good shooter ability, to me he has ok skills but lacks that elite hockey sense and relies too much on raw ability.

91. Kohl Bauml—F—Everett 5’07/160 A super hard working player, he never stops moving on the ice and always gives his all even with a minuet left in the game, has is a good skater, has excellent puck handling ability, and a great shot that he needs to use more, a bit small but super super skilled player with great work ethic.

92. Viktor Crus-Rydberg—F—Linkop 18 6’00/190 Good speed and agility, he is a very good playmaker who sees the ice well, he has very creative hands with the puck and can be exciting to watch, he has to improve on shooting the puck more as he has a good shot but would rather pass, he has good skills and could be a steal this low in the draft.

93. Matej Paulovic—Farjestad U20 6’03/172 Very skilled puck handler who is great at going one on one, he is an exciting player to watch and has good shooting ability as well, he is good at rushing down the ice and letting go a good placed shot, he has good skill level, his skating is above average but he could improve his acceleration.

94. Sergei Kuptsov—F—Mississauga 6’02/212 To me this guy is versatile, an explosive skater with excellent acceleration and fluid stride, strong player, excellent size and also is physical and gritty, and to go along with it all he is an amazing puck handler, this guy has so much talent his talent would put him top 2 rounds but his consistency horrible, one game he is a beast on the ice, the next game he seems to loose the will to try.

95. Macoy Erkamps—D—Lethbridge 5’11/193 An average size defender but his bread and butter is a booming slap shot from the point, his shot can make a power play great, he is smart controlling the play on the back end and is efficient at moving the puck.

96. Brody Silk—F—Sudbury 6’00/180 A good skater who works hard on the ice, does his job in the corners and boards, he has great attitude and a very good scoring touch on the ice, he is good in every situation.

97. Luke Johnson—F—Lincoln 5’11/164 An excellent skater and playmaker, Johnson really came into his own this year and is proving he is a top prospect in the USHL, he is smart, excellent passing, creates offense , he is going to be a good player next year.

98. Tyler Kelleher—F—NTDP U17 0’00/000 An amazing player who is exciting to watch, great shooting, excellent passing ability, smart player, good skater, this guy has explosive offensive ability, size is his only draw back.

99. Trevor Murphy—D—Peterborough 5’10/156 Excellent offensive dman who has great skating ability, not the biggest player on the ice and average size especially for a dman but his ability to get the puck down the other end of the ice and create offense is very good, he has good creativity on the rush and can run a PP, he needs work in his own zone and to add strength but unlike Ekman-Larsson I have ranked 100 here Murphy has decent hockey sense.

100. Kevin Ekman-Larsson—D—Leks U185’10/150 Thinks offense offense offense when I saw him, I question his hockey sense a bit as his rushes are questionable sometime he has good hands with the puck, excellent passing off the rush, good speed but he tries to go one on one too much and ends up making bad plays more so than often with the puck, he needs work in his own end and needs to bulk up some, he is very very raw, talent is there.
